Keevin D. Williams was recently named Vice President of the Florida Black Business Investment Board, Inc. (FBBIB). In this capacity, Keevin works primarily with the Florida Black Business Support Corporation (FBBSC) and the FBBIB Venture Fund LLC, wholly-owned lending subsidiaries of the FBBIB. Keevin's day-to-day responsibilities include managing the FBBSC's loan portfolio and all lending and underwriting functions. Keevin also handles the marketing and external affairs function of the FBBIB, which include representing the FBBIB before the Florida Legislature.
Prior to joining the FBBIB, Keevin served as Vice President of Government Affairs & Insurance Division of the Florida Bankers Association (FBA), in Tallahassee, FL. In this capacity, Keevin represented banking and insurance interested before legislative and regulatory bodies in Tallahassee, FL and Washington, D.C. During his four year tenure with the FBA, Keevin experienced many firsts. In 2000, he created the Insurance Division of FBA, a trade organization of banking and insurance executives brought together to advance the financial services industries through advocacy and education. This division was the first of its kind for a state or federal trade group. As a result of his work with the Insurance Division, he was the first African American to be elected an officer within the company.
A native of Tampa, FL, Keevin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida, and Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law.
